Hi, Everyone! Mya, here. With back to school officially starting, there’s a lot on everyone’s mindsWhat’s on our minds here at AMF? We’re focused on preparing for our biggest event of the year, Youth Leadership Seminar!

“So, what is YLS exactly?”

Well, I’m glad you asked. YLS, formally known as Youth Leadership Seminar is a one-day leadership development opportunity for Tri-State high school students. You can expect to hear from inspirational speakers, learn valuable lessons in reaching your goals and standing out as a leader in your community. And if that’s not enough, who doesn’t want to meet the GOAT Anthony Muñoz? It’s also a really great opportunity to interact with other student leaders in the area!

Pic2This year’s theme is ‘Blueprint.’ The idea is that students can identify positive leadership traits in order to build a foundation (pun intended) for success and discuss overcoming barriers students may face as they plan for the future. Our main goal for this event is for each attendee to leave with the steps to create their own unique ‘Blueprint’ for success and we want to do everything we can to help them achieve this!

This is the 18th year of Youth Leadership Seminar and we’re so excited to see both first-timers, as well as our frequent attendees! Special thanks to the 50 schools that are already registered for this year’s event!SchoolsRegisteredAll

Interested in registering for the Youth Leadership Seminar? Contact impact@munozfoudation.org. Spots are filling up quick, so don’t forget to register your school by September 20th!

Stay tuned to learn who our speakers will be at this year’s Youth Leadership Seminar! Also, check back next week to hear all about our Whiz Kids Program.

Until next time,

Mya
