Throwback Thursday with Jarrin Taul!

We decided to shake it up a little bit this week and move Where Are They Now Wednesday to Throwback Thursday! For our first Throwback Thursday we are featuring Jarrin Taul!

Jarrin was one of the Foundation’s 2011 Straight “A” finalists and Scholarship Fund winner. After graduating from RULH, Jarrin started his freshman year of college at Wilmington College. Currently a sophomore, Jarrin is a sports management major and plays on the men’s basketball team as a guard.

“Due to help of the foundation and grants from college I’m enjoying Imagecollege without the worry and struggle of how I’m going to pay for college each semester. God makes miracles happen and blesses each of us from time to time. Winning two scholarships from the Anthony Muñoz Foundation has forever changed my life and I’m a better person because of it.” -Jarrin Taul

Jarrin has come a long way since winning the scholarships in 2011.  Check out his acceptance for the Straight “A” Scholarship below!

Be sure to nominate a deserving student for the Straight “A” Scholarship and don’t forget to apply for the Scholarship Fund!

Seeing this post really brought a renewed look at and perspective to my life’s work. In fact, the post brought both a smile and a tear. The educational climate has changed so drastically with few tangible rewards for working hard and trying daily to make a difference in the life of others. However, scrolling through my FB feed and getting to see Jarrin’s smile enlightened my spirit. I am forever gratefull that the AMF and Mr. Munoz are to recognize the potential in Jarrin that Inhave always seen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart by being part of this young man’s life!!! AMF – YOU ROCK!!!
    With love and respect,
Angie Dee (Jarrin’s nominating teacher – and PROUD of it!)
